The Sugar Grove Food Pantry provides food and household materials to individuals and families who have been challenged by economic times or who have health related needs.The first hour is set aside for seniors and the disabled. Food and goods are available to residents within the Kaneland School District and residents of Big Rock and Presbury in (Aurora ). If children are part of the family, parents must show birth certificates. **Use Facebook for more information or to email the pantry.

Eligibility

Residents in the Kaneland School District and Sugar Grove residents. The income and eligibility guidelines set by Northern Illinois Food Bank apply.

Documents

Come to the pantry to register- must have a state issued photo ID and a current utility bill verifying your address. Must have birth certificates or school ID for each dependent child.

Elburn Food Pantry provides weekly distributions of food for persons in need There are no limits to the number of times a person may receive food.

Eligibility

Must live in Kaneland School District U-302 which includes Sugar Grove, Maple Park and Cortland.

Come to the food pantry to complete a short application at time of first visit. Picture ID or utility bill showing name and address is required.

Hampshire Township has assistance programs for residents The General Assistance program provides general relief funds for adult Hampshire Township residents, with or without children The program provides assistance as long as a person is eligible The program helps with rent, utilities, food vouchers, and prescriptions. The Senior Program provides for the loan of wheel chairs, crutches, walkers, canes, commodes, and hospital beds to Hampshire and Burlington Township residents. The Senior Program also provides transportation to doctor's appointments and errands, as well as for social and recreational outings for seniors Transportation for the disabled is provided for medical appointments Vehicles include wheelchair lifts.

Eligibility

Financial assistance is for residents of Hampshire Township. The transportation for Seniors and the disabled is for residents of Hampshire and Burlington Townships.

Burlington Hampshire Food Pantry

The Burlington Hampshire Food Pantry offers non-perishable food to those in need who live in those two townships once per month.

Eligibility

Services are limited to residents of Hampshire and Burlington Townships.

Documents

Persons will be asked for their address and two forms of proof of residence - for instance, a drivers license and utility bill.
